March Insaneness x2

Well, if your bracket's not ruined, you're either him or him. Or you didn't enter your bracket in ESPN's bracket challenge. In the group I was in, everyone got every team in the Final Four wrong.
So, what's caused all this craziness? VCU won again. Yep. Nobody would have ever believed it. They are just the third double digit seed ever to make it to the Final Four! What's even more surprising is that they dominated everybody they played, except for Florida State. They beat a #6 seed, a #3 seed, a #10 seed, and a #1 seed.
Guess what? Drum roll please....  Butler's back!!! Nobody (well, almost nobody) would have thought it. After Gordon Hayward left, I thought Butler would fall back into the ranks of the unknown. But here they are, ready to make a case for the national championship.
The other side of the bracket isn't quite as surprising, although not many people expected UConn and Kentucky to make it.
Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the tournament is that there are no #1 or #2 seeds in the Final Four. That's right, none! This is the first time EVER! There have also only been three Final Fours in which there are no #1s.
For lack of a better word, this is March Insaneness, (well, that's not even a word) times two. If anyone has a better word, let me know. And don't say madness.

March Insaneness

Ok, who's bracket is ruined?
After all the smoke has cleared in the first three rounds (the First Four doesn't count), we are left with one, yes, ONE #1 seed!!! What happened?!? With OSU and Duke losing in the Sweet Sixteen, and Pitt going out in the second round, this has been one of the most evenly matched tournaments in recent history. Kansas is now the favorite to win the Championship, but they'll lose to VCU (maybe). Wait, VCU?!? The Cinderella of the tournament, VCU has made its way through the First Four, Second Round, Third Round, and Sweet Sixteen, and is the only double digit seed left. If it wasn't the first year of the First Four, VCU would be the first First Four team to make it to the Elite Eight, but since it is the first year, they are the first anyway... oh, never mind.(How many times can you say first in one sentence?)
Out of the top 20 teams, only one #1 seed, two #2s, one #3, one #4, and one #5 remain (don't hurt yourself, that's 6). Yikes! March Madness Insaneness indeed!

SuperTuxKart

One of my favorite open source games, SuperTuxKart is a racing game that resembles (sort of) MarioKart. Check it out at supetuxkart.sf.net. It lets you hook up gamepads and joysticks, as well as using the keyboard. There are four modes of gameplay, including a battle mode for two players, where you shoot cupcakes and bowling balls at each other.
Other than the fact that the challenges are ridiculously easy and that the game still has a few bugs, SuperTuxKart is an amazing open source game that you and your family will surely enjoy.

The Last...

Well, I am the last of the three to post. I never really thought I would be a part of a blog but here I am. Now what to write about...

Starting Out

Wow, a blog! It just happened so fast. I got an email saying that two of my friends had started a blog for the three of us and I didn't even know! Anyhow I just feel like I should post something so that when I actually have something interesting to write about I won't have to get over the "awe" that a "first post" deserves(at least in my mind).

Starting Out In The Blogosphere World

Well, I'm entering the Blogging world with a couple of my friends! I'm looking forward to posting about various subjects like sports, tech, and music, along with anything big that happens in life (that never happens... lol). Can't think of anything else to put here, so I guess I'll stop. Stay tuned for news (yeah right, what news :)).
